Taraka Ratna was born on February 17, 1983, in Andhra Pradesh, India.

He made his acting debut in the Telugu film "Naa Style Veru" in 2000.

Taraka Ratna is the grandson of legendary Telugu actor N. T. Rama Rao and the nephew of actor and politician N. Balakrishna.
